Harry N. Abrams Inc. Publishers, 1970. Hardcover. Book Condition: As New, Particularly well-preserved all tight, bright, and pristine clean and especially sharp-cornered. VERY FINE dust jacket with only a few light surface creases from handling when taking out of the original publisher's shipping carton which is also included. This book was most likely only taken out of its shipping carton a few times at best. I doubt if anyone but myself paged through the entire book. This 1st Edition. coffee table book is about 2" thick and 12 1/4" wide and 17 3/4" tall. Cover is red buckram with gilt lettering on the spine. Glossy dust jacket is the famous picture of Norman Rockwell painting a self portrait. Endpapers are a heavy gray woven paper. Frontispiece is a copy of the oil painting "Marriage License" for the Post Cover, June 11, 1955. ". this volume with its superb reproductions, including two-, three-, and even four-page spreads and foldouts in full color, finally does justice to an artist whose works have most often been seen only in the impermanent mediums of magazines and calendars. More than 600 of Rockwell's best illustrations are reproduced, providing an unusually broad view of his work. There are actually 614 illustrations, including 111 in full color. He painted 317 Saturday Evening Post covers, all of which are included, along with representative covers and story illustrations for such diverse publications as St. Nicolas, Life, Look, Leslie's, the Literary Digest, and Ramparts. His advertisements, which have sold socks and cough medicine, coffee and bicycle tires, fountain pens and oil heaters, light bulbs and insurance, encyclopedias and tooth past, are also here, ase are murals, posters, greeting cards, Boy Scout calendars, and illustrations for Tom Sawyer, Huckleberry Finn, Poor Richard's Almanacks, and the biography of an uncommon thrush named Willie." Consists of 328 pages with index.

Victorian cranberry glass bowl with ruffled edge that sits inside a silverplated metal wire stand. The stand has three legs that curl up and a handle that is twisted at the top and makes a loop. The glass bowl is mouth blown and has an applied crystal clear ribbon ruffle around the middle of the outside. The bowl is 3" tall and 5" across. The stand is 7" tall and 6" across and is stamped "EPNS" on the bottom. Condition is very good. The metal stand needs a good polishing and may be slightly bent but you can remedy this easily. The glass bowl has two small (about 1/4") surface rim flakes or flea bites. These are not deep and barely noticeable. In fact, one of these appears to have been professionally ground out to where you can barely see it. The undoctured one occurs on the inside of the rim and barely penetrates the rim edge.    (Item #5050B8)
